The New York Times speaks up

John Irving, an Academy Award-winning screenwriter and former wrestler writes an equally scathing op-ed in The New York Times, voicing his disbelief in the decision by the IOC, especially in light of sports, like Modern Pentathlon, that although are far less popular or accessible, remain as part of the Olympic games, perhaps due to better PR, suggesting that perhaps FILA “just did not do a great job of selling the merits of the sport.”
